Wing Chun Women

Wing Chun is known to be a woman’s art. Yet the art is dominated by strong males with techniques that are just suitable for males. So where are the good women in Wing Chun?

This blog will give credit to women who have achieved something in Wing Chun. So please send in your stories!

This video shows what can be accomplished in one month of private lesson training for Wing Chun. Camila Kuljis was interested to train in Wing Chun Kung Fu. She had no real background in martial art. In this particular lesson, we emphasized being comfortable in close range fighting. Distance fighting, ground fighting and weapons training are also part of the mix, but come later within the year. In one month a lot of things are incorrect however this training gave Camila an enthusiasm for martial art. I never emphasize that just Wing Chun is good. I told Camila to eventually study other arts as well. Martial art of any kind can be a lifetime of study. Usually learning slower is better but Camila had planned to leave Victoria after one month.
