About
The Global Wing Chun Academy teaches Street Combat Wing Chun as well as the classical “dojo” style Wing Chun.
The training program is split into three levels. The beginner level basically teaches the attack and defense techniques for basic street self defense.
The second or intermediate level concentrates on Wing Chun ‘s famous sticking hands techniques and well as on the entry techniques required to apply any of the sticking hand techniques.
At the third level we teach more realistic street defense techniques. At this level,we also expose the student to ideas taken from various other combat arts such as Escrima, wrestling , boxing, knife defense arts, and also the combative version of Tai Chi.
A dojo is a Japanese term which literally means "place of the way". ... The concept of a dōjō as a martial arts training place is a Western concept; in Japan, any physical training facility, including professional wrestling schools, may be called dōjō because of its close martial arts roots.
