Tai Chi for Health

Tai Chi for Health

$20.00

Tai Chi can help any martial artist to improve their skills by helping them to relax, use less energy and not be spastic. Many students don’t have the patience to really learn a martial art in depth. Tai Chi will help that. Stand up arts are deficient in ground tactics. We find that Tai Chi is a good link between standup fighting and the grappling arts because Tai Chi is more in the grappling end of things. See: globaltaichi.com

In 1987 Yvette Wong and Ray Van Raamsdonk made a Tai Chi for Health video since we felt that Tai Chi would benefit everyone including martial artists. This tape was to be part of a seven volume series. The first tape was not done in a martial arts way because most people are not interested in that so the stances and positions are slightly different from those who do Tai Chi for a martial art. But those aspects were to be covered in other volumes. We also made a Wing Chun sticking hands video. Yvette credits her success in Wing Chun with her background in Tai Chi. Many Wing Chun students are too spastic, tense and not fluid. and they don’t have the patience to learn anything in depth. Tai Chi helps then to relax to fix those problems. .
